Fischermanns Orchestra


August 2019, Hamburg

“Any plans for the weekend yet?” Simon Petermann, artistic director of the Fischermann Orchestra, rings me up one friday morning. And since for once I do not have plans for the weekend, I’ll get on a bus. A tour bus, taking Swiss jazz orchestra Fischermanns Orchestra to Hamburg. The tour bus is all yellow and therefore called the Yellow Submarine, it’s 36° degrees, there’s 11 musicians, 2 drivers, 1 filmmaker and me. They let me have what I think was the best bunk, there was a window, I could see the road floating by.
